Silo Launcher ("Silo", "we", "our") is designed as a minimal, context-shifting Android launcher. Our guiding principle is simple: your data belongs exclusively to you. All mode rules, app drawers, and focus sessions run on-device.

2. Permissions & Capability Usage

Silo requests minimal Android permissions necessary to function as a home screen launcher:

  • QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES: Enables displaying and opening installed apps in your selected Silo modes.
  • ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION & BLUETOOTH_CONNECT: Enables optional real-time context triggers to switch modes automatically.
  • ACCESS_NOTIFICATION_POLICY: Allows toggling Do Not Disturb mode during focus sessions.

3. Data Deletion & Control

You remain in total control of your data at all times. Clearing app data via Android Settings > Apps > Silo > Storage > Clear Data or uninstalling the app permanently removes all stored preferences from your device instantly.

4. Children's Privacy

Silo Launcher fully complies with COPPA and GDPR. Because no personal information is collected or transmitted, Silo is completely safe for users of all age groups.
